Welcome to Children's Mercy initiative (CMI)
CMI Is a community based program mainly providing educational services to all helpless and vulnerable children from rural and urban areas of Uganda. The project also enables provision of lodging facilities to all orphans and totally helpless children that are catered for under the program. This program mainly addresses and takes action to the basic objectives towards the need of providing essential requirements of quality education, life development phases and life support to many suffering children in different parts of Uganda.
In our project areas, number of Orphans, Semi Orphan and general vulnerable children are found. The problem of orphan / vulnerable children is critical due to poor life support and development services ordained in different communities. Due to the deaths of HIV/AIDS affected parents, Re-marriage of deserted / widowed / divorce women, absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, Unwanted pregnancies / Sexually exploited girls; these orphan and vulnerable children are left without care and support. These children are involved in several non-healthy and non-developmental behaviors and actions that end up destroying their future or dying at a young age. Therefore, we envisage mainstreaming these children in the national building by providing care, support, protection and majorly education to these different rural areas through our programs.
In spite of planned development and special provision for accelerated social-economic development of educational services, the issue of uneducated and suffering children in Uganda is not properly addressed......................
